Achievements

1. Painting of the base coat for the US 250 Anniversary Car

2. Herbicide sprayed on the engine house leads, down the Sandersville Line, and next to the machine shop

3. Caboose frames and their respective wheel sets marked front and rear 4. Original Clerk's office by the planner mill was lowered safely off its old foundations to evaluate saving the remaining enclosed structure.

5. Original left over Longleaf Pine in the lumber shed was safely restacked by the telehandler rental

Achievements

1. Caboose #1 and #5 safely relocated to the museum to begin their frame restoration. (In the future these cars will serve as riding cars and/or a caboose for the Santee River Hardwood #3 Heisler steam locomotive, which is under restoration.)

2. Three additional wheelsets were also relocated from Long Leaf Junction to the museum

1. Old railings cut off of caboose #1. Reusable railings not bent up in the fire were saved. 2. Seized caboose couplers unlocked

3. Painting on 250 car completed

4. Remaining track sprayed with much needed herbicide.

5. Unofficial plans for next steps on repairing the caboose bolsters and reinstalling brake systems
