Michael is from Forest Hill, LA and has been a volunteer since 2024? He is our most local volunteer. He helped kick off the new media team, and is always thinking of new ideas. Michael is currently taking an internship at the Nevada Northern Railway obtaining steam locomotive operation and maintenance skills that he can bring back home

Wimbley Vu

Wimbley is from (P. Texas Alexandria, LA?). He has been a volunteer since 2020? Wimbley is talented in historic research and documentation. His art skills including graphic design, digital model making, and drawing always wows us. Wimbley is currently an intern at the Nevada Northern Railway with Michael P.

Tucker Baker

Tucker is from ("?Alexandria New Orleans?) and started volunteering in 201X? He is currently serving on the Southern Forest Heritage Museum’s Executive Committee. He is known for is work as a Boy Scout Troop Leader and his work on the Philmont Boy Scout Camp Railroad. Tucker can play a mighty fine banjo. He has always stood up for the importance of preserving history and those to help do so.

Jason Rose

Jason is from Spring, Texas and has been a volunteer since 2009. Jason is a US Marine Veteran. He helped lay the entire foundations of what the R.R.G. social media and website is today. Jason has two sons that tag along for work sessions, Noah and Nathan.

He dreams of spending his retirement years running steam locomotives on the RR&G,

Jacques is from Des Allemands, LA and started volunteering in 2020?He is a yard master for the CSX Railroad in New Orleans. Jacques brings his class 1 and short line experience along with him. He is always wanting to have a good time.

Clint Ladner

Clint is from Forest Hill, LA and started volunteering in May of 2021. He is an University Louisiana Lafayette Alumni in Engineering Technology Management. He brings the skills he learned there back to the museum in the form of maintenance tracking and other organizational skills. He has a mechanical mind and is very skilled in CAD / 3D modeling. In his free time Clint creates many railroad maps and can tell you just about where any abandoned grade is in the state. He is always down to give someone a tour.

David Hearne

David Hearne started volunteering in 19XX? and is from Hineston, LA. David used to be a long haul truck driver, but now ——- David purchased the excavator that we used to rent for work sessions and it has been an invaluable asset when he can bring it.

Merrell has been a volunteer since 2026 and is from XXXX, Mississippi. He is a railroad crossing inspector for Mississippi DOTD. He owns an ex CN MT19 motorcar that he takes on NARCO excursions. Merrell shares his knowledge of Mississippi railroad history whenever we meet.
